AAFCA SOCIAL MEDIA GUIDELINES

FACEBOOK

All “members” (including administrators) of AAFCA’s Facebook Page are acting as a surrogate for the AAFCA organization and as such your posts should be in line with our established guidelines found below. AAFCA will not be held liable for any repercussions that a “member’s content may generate.

1. AAFCA promotes healthy and honest discourse with its readers.

2. Always strive to provide worthwhile information and perspective with your posts.

3. Separate opinion from fact, and make sure your audience can see the difference.

4. Always give people proper credit for their work, and make sure you have the right to use something with attribution before you publish.

5. We encourage posts that are open-ended and invite response. Encourage comments.

HINT: We recommend that you read the contributions of others. You can broaden the conversation by citing others who are posting about the same topic. This often times leads to your post being shared or syndicated.

6. Be engaged and informed. Participation is the fuel of social media. Know what the current conversations are and what people are saying in order to see if, and how, you may be able to contribute a new perspective. .

7. Aim for quality, not quantity. Make your content rich and interesting for others to read.

8. No posts featuring racial, ethnic, sexual, religious, and physical disability slurs are not allowed.

9. No posts pertaining to sensitive company information (particularly those found within AAFCAs internal networks) should not be shared to the outside online community. Divulging information like AAFCA Events, internal operations and legal matters are prohibited.

10. AAFCA reserves the right to edit or amend any misleading or inaccurate posts. AAFCA also reserves the right to delete posts that violate these guidelines.

YOU TUBE

Producers/Talent for The AAFCA Channel are acting as surrogates for the AAFCA organization and as such are expected to always maintain the highest professional standards. 

1. Produced clips uploaded to The AAFCA Channel should be not exceed 2 – 3 minutes in length. 

2. All videos posted to The AAFCA Channel should include the AAFCA opening and promotes logo sequence.

3. A call to subscribe should always be embedded within every video posted to The AAFCA Channel.

4. Quick delivery and turnaround is expected for all video assignments. For example: coverage of any a premiere or live event is expected no later than 3 hours after such event.

5. Aim for quality, not quantity. Make your content rich and interesting for others to read. AAFCA reserves the right to “final” edit or amend produced content and the right to cancel assignments that do not meet quality standards.

6. No content shall be uploaded to The AAFCA Channel without permission granted by an AAFCA administrator.

7. All content (including unused footage) should be uploaded to The AAFCA dropbox account.

8. The sharing of any proprietary or sensitive AAFCA information is strictly prohibited and is grounds for immediate termination and may will result in legal action.

9. AAFCA will not be held liable for any repercussions that result from a producers conduct.

10. Equipment and other assets owned by AAFCA are only to be used in connection for work conducted on behalf of the association. Misuse of any AAFCA Production asset is grounds for immediate termination and may result in legal action.
