This week celebrates the release more than 10 years ago of the popular "Harry Potter" films adapted from the novels of the same name by its creator J.K. Rowling, taking her, its stars and the series to international acclaim. Harry Potter is a young man with a great destiny, who after being rescued from the outrageous neglect of his aunt and uncle proves his worth by attending the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.
Personally, I haven't see one installment or read the books. Mostly because at the time they were all released, getting a ticket was nearly impossible and the lines were out the doors. FYI...just yesterday, Rowling hinted that there may possibly be one more Potter story in her arsenal to be revealed.
All of that, doesn't negate the fact that this film series has grossed in the billions making Rowling financially set for life.
Since the Potter series, its lead star Daniel Radcliffe has had a very fruitful career on Broadway and London with such productions as "Equus "and a second revival of "How To Succeed In Business Without Really Trying" (Matthew Broderick starred in and won the Tony for the 1st revival and Robert Morse starred in the Original Broadway Production and the film version).
