MV5BMjEzNTM4ODM1OF5BMl5BanBnXkFtZTcwNjg4NzAzMw@@._V1_SX214_AL_ In 1975, the hit novel by Ira Levin was the talk of Hollywood and centered around its lead character Joanna Eberhart, who had come to the quaint little town of Stepford, Connecticut with her family, but soon discovered that  there lies a sinister truth in the all too perfect behavior of its female residents.  In 2004,  a remake surfaced starring Matthew Broderick and Nicole Kidman adding the Stepford husbands and  making Stepford, CT a high-tech terrifying little town, in a very modern comedy-thriller.  It bombed and was forgotten soon after.  It was unfortunate, as the original was very entertaining.  Nicole Kidman also starred in another remake of Bewitched - the beloved sitcom starring Elizabeth Montgomery.  It bombed as well.  Needless to say, the attempt of Hollywood to re-kindle the nostalgia of the 70's most popular films and sitcoms don't really interest this generation.  Check out his trailer below that was released for the opening June 11, 2004.
